HYPERBARIC THERAPY

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Elevate Your Body’s Ability to Heal

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) delivers concentrated oxygen in a pressurized environment, allowing your body to absorb significantly more oxygen than it would under normal conditions.

This increased oxygen availability supports cellular repair, reduces inflammation, and enhances the body’s natural healing processes—making it a powerful tool for both recovery and overall wellness.

IMPORTANT

Contraindications for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy:

While mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHBOT) is generally well tolerated, it may not be appropriate for everyone. mHBOT is intended to support general wellness and recovery and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or replace medical care or treatment. Please review the following contraindications carefully and consult with a qualified healthcare provider prior to participation if you have any underlying medical conditions or concerns.

Absolute Contraindications

The following conditions are generally considered unsafe for participation in mHBOT:

  • Untreated pneumothorax (collapsed lung)

  • Severe pulmonary conditions involving trapped air, including certain cases of emphysema with bullae or blebs

  • Certain untreated compressive brain lesions or intracranial hematomas

Relative Contraindications

The following conditions may require medical clearance, monitoring, or additional precautions prior to treatment:

  • Upper respiratory infections, sinus infections, ear infections, or blocked Eustachian tubes

  • Severe COPD, asthma, or history of spontaneous pneumothorax

  • Difficulty equalizing ear pressure

  • Uncontrolled fever

  • Seizure disorders or epilepsy

  • Recent ear surgery, thoracic surgery, or ear trauma

  • Pregnancy

  • Uncontrolled hypertension or severe heart disease

  • Optic neuritis

  • Certain blood disorders or anemias

  • Insulin-dependent diabetes or conditions affecting blood sugar regulation

Medications Requiring Medical Consultation

Certain medications and chemotherapy agents may not be compatible with mHBOT and should be discussed with your physician prior to treatment, including:

  • Cisplatin

  • Disulfiram (Antabuse)
